IT’S OUR BIRTHDAY! 🎉

H&H is turning 4! In celebration, we’ve put together a little Q&A: Founder Edition to give you a peek into the last year by sharing the work we’re so proud of + what we’ve learned along the way!

What are you most proud of this year?

KRISTEN: 2022 has been in general the best yet, but if I had to pick one moment out of it: getting our new office on main streeeeet was pretty dreamy and mind blowing. It showed us our work was speaking for itself and we were really growing into the agency we want to be. We had always discussed having creative office space in Santa Monica or Venice so this was like WOAH we are on our way.

What has been the biggest challenge this year?

ARICA: Learning to let go of one of my hats. Hiring an outside team to support managing our finances lifted a huge weight off of my shoulders so I can dedicate more time to client projects and new opportunities for H&H.

What has been the hardest part about launching your own company?

KRISTEN: Overcoming the classic imposter syndrome! realizing that ALL founders have imposter syndrome at one point or another and you have to adopt a growth mindset in its place. what will I learn vs what dont I know.

What is one thing you learned that you would pass onto a fellow founder?

ARICA: Go with your gut. In the past, in order to make sure the client was feeling heard and happy there were times I didn't always push back when I didn't agree with a strategic direction or decision. The intention was good but results weren't the same. While not always easy, I'm much more forthright with my opinion which is based on a combination of past experience, data, and instincts. Why work with experts if you can't trust what they recommend? Kristen has always encouraged this and inspires me all the time to keep leaning in. So, also get a business partner - wouldn't and couldn't do any of this without my Kris.
